Business 20
The Business 20 (B20) is the official G20 dialogue forum representing the global business community. Established in 2010, B20 is among the most prominent Engagement Groups in G20, with companies and business organisations as participants. The B20 leads the process of galvanizing global business leaders for their views on issues of global economic and trade governance and speaks in a single voice for the entire G20 business community. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) was the B20 India Secretariat. Gujarat's thriving business ecosystem and investor-friendly policies made it the perfect venue for the Business 20 Inception Meeting and Event, promoting international trade and economic cooperation.
Tourism Working Group Meeting
Tourism Working Group has brought together the member countries and relevant stakeholders to discuss, deliberate and guide the course of action for the further development of local and global tourism. Since its inception, the Group has focused by the sector including the COVID-19 pandemic. Given the sector's key role in global economy and its progress towards achieving Agenda 2030, making tourism more sustainable and boosting its resilience has been the Working Group's primary focus in recent times.
Urban 20 (U20)
Urban 20 is a city diplomacy initiative, comprising cities from G20 countries. It strives to establish a lasting practice of engagement among cities to develop a collective message that emphasizes the role of cities in taking forward the sustainable development agenda.
The U20 engagement group plays a vital role in contributing perspectives, concerns, and ideas from cities to inform and enrich the overall G20 negotiations. Ahmedabad was the host city for the 6th edition of U20 cycle under India's G20 Presidency. Gujarat is the most urbanized infrastructure and visionary leadership made it an ideal host for the Urban 20, showcasing its commitment to sustainable urban development.
